SM Reddy,
CEO and Founder
As founder and CEO, SM Reddy looks after the overall management of the Pyro Group. With over 16 years of telecom experience, his vision, and the one that drives Pyro, is that nothing drives an organization better than ideas.
Combining an innate understanding of visible and latent customer needs, he has been the driving force behind some of the pioneering strides witnessed by the Indian mobile space over the past decade and more. It was his stewardship that led to India's first CRBT in 2002. Text-based cricket scores, innovative roaming solutions in Africa and the rest of the world, number management solutions and a whole list of market driving ideas have their genesis in SM and his team of passionate professionals.
Apart from charting the growth trajectory of Pyro, SM's conscious effort for a "Green", environment friendly platform has lead to the development of Forge, Pyro's most recent addition. His vision for Pyro as an organisation has ensured that today, we are a young, agile, grey-centric company, focused not just to ideas and innovations but most importantly, to the customer. Under SM's leadership, Pyro thinks technology, delivers quality service, and conceptualizes customized platforms as per customer needs.
Paritosh Reddy, Chief Operating Officer (EMEA)
As an integral part of Pyro since inception, Paritosh looks after the growing Africa & Middle East operations from Johannesburg, managing sales and business development opportunities across the region. Prior to his current responsibilities, he was in charge of the mobile entertainment business of Pyro in India.
Before joining Pyro, Paritosh held senior positions in the Hospitality and Retail industries. He is a post graduate in Hospitality Management and specializes in sales and marketing.
Rakesh Poovadan, Chief Operating Officer (APAC Region)
With over 16 years experience within the telecom industry, Rakesh Poovadan has the charge of establishing Pyro's market presence in the APAC region. He has vast experience in Business Management, Enterprise sales and Distribution Management.
Prior to joining Pyro, Poovadan had a successful decade-long stint at Bharti Airtel, where he worked in various positions and functions. A certified Six Sigma Green Belt, he has attended several management programs at the prestigeous Indian Institues of Management. He has a Masters degree in Bsiness Administration from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
B Thirupal Reddy, CFO
BT Reddy, a Chartered Accountant by profession, started his career with Allwyn Nissan Limited, an LCV manufacturing unit with the collaboration of Nissan Motors, Japan for whom he handled the entire Finance operations for 3 1/2 years.
His next tenure was for 20 years with Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation (APSFC), a statutory body established for promoting small and medium industries in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Being Head of Branches for a major part of 16 years, BT Reddy played a key role in promoting and financing several Industries , thereby creating employment for several thousands of people in the rural Andhra Pradesh.
As a part of his tenure with APSFC, BT Reddy also managed the role of being Head of Projects and NPA Management, where as a member of the core committee, he played major role to reduce NPA to a minimum level and made the Corporation as one of the Premier financial Institution in India.
Tagore Reddy, Head - Product Development & Global Delivery
Tagore comes with over 18 years of experience in Global Fortune 200 companies specifically in the area of Information Technology. He heads the Product Development and Global Delivery area of Pyro Group. Tagore has experience in the areas of Information Technology as related to managing business processes with built in systems, building strategy/infrastructure, leading to define architectural solutions for business clients. A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Tagore has led successfully various continuous process improvement cycles and productivity initiatives.
Prior to joining Pyro, Tagore, as IT Director, drove Customer Fulfillment division function at CapitalOne USA (one of Top 10 banks in USA) where he was accountable for systems that had touch points for over 30 million customers. He has MS in EE from Southern Illinois University, USA.
Chandrashekhar Tallapragada, Head - R&D
Chandrashekhar has 13 years of experience in the telecom industry. A number of these years were spent at Hutchison at various organisational levels, handling GSMSwitching, VAS products, SS7 and IN. He has also worked with other telecommunications giants such as Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), and Ericsson, both in India and abroad.
Chandrashekhar has a Bachelor degree in Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications, a Masters of Science degree in Telecom Technology and a PGCBM from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
A research-oriented person and an out-of-the-box thinker, he and has won many awards for the innovations he spearheaded in the various organizations he has worked for. He has been associated with research and development at Pyro since 2002.
